Easy MiniCab Ltd does not yet meet the £36 million turnover threshold under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 that mandates an annual statement. We publish this statement voluntarily because we believe transparency on this issue is important.
Our business
We are a UK-licensed private hire operator providing pre-booked passenger transport across [region]. Our fleet is made up of self-employed PHV-licensed drivers and our office team is based in the UK.
Our supply chain
Our supply chain is short and almost entirely UK-based: vehicle suppliers, fuel cards, insurance brokers, dispatch software (Cordic), payment processors (Stripe), accounting (Xero), and telephony (Aircall/Twilio). We have not identified any high-risk areas in this chain.
Driver welfare
While our drivers are self-employed, we take active steps to ensure they are not exploited:
- We require every driver to demonstrate they hold their own PHV badge, vehicle plate, and Hire & Reward insurance — we do not knowingly engage drivers operating under another person’s licence.
- We pay weekly settlements promptly via Bacs.
- We provide a route for drivers to raise concerns confidentially.
- We work with the local council and police on industry-wide trafficking and exploitation initiatives.
Training
All staff and drivers receive safeguarding training that covers the signs of modern slavery, county-lines and child sexual exploitation, and how to report concerns.
Reporting
Anyone with a concern can call our control room (0800 EASYCAB) or email hello@easyminicab.co.uk in confidence. We will report credible concerns to the police and the National Referral Mechanism.
